Upcoming Events

October 18-20, 2019. Can-Con 2019 (The Conference on Canadian Content in Speculative Arts and Literature), Ottawa. https://can-con.org/

I'll be moderating the panel: Witches on the Rise, on Saturday, Oct. 19, 11:00 a.m. Panelists: Christian Baines, David Demchuk, Kate Heartfield, Maaja Wentz. Join us for what promises to be a fascinating discussion!

"Publishers of paranormal fiction have started pushing again for stories about witches. This is matched by the return of characters like Sabrina and Buffy, and the popularity of shows like American Horror Story: Coven, A Discovery of Witches and Strange Angel. How do today’s reincarnations of witches stand out? How do they continue to embody ideas of female reclamation of power and more?"
